Operation Clean Sweep......

The dreaded storage shed. Don't let this picture fool you, there are two lofts in this beast and they are crammed full of stuff. One whole side is nothing but Christmas stuff!

Empty totes that will soon be filled up with stuff from the house! And see that pedastal sink? One of these days it will be going into the guest bathroom!!!

Keep pile! I can never part with good shelving!!!

Sale pile (so far)!

Tomorrow it's the kitchen and three closets on the hit list!!!!

Some pics ...

I honestly wish that I could say that the day at the Zoo was a good day. It wasn't. It didn't turn out like we had planned and hoped for. It truely makes me sad that Chris' ex-wife hates him so much that she has made it impossible for him to have any kind of relationship with his boys. They need their dad, they need both parents, even if they are not together anymore, they need both of their parents in their lives without all of the bitterness and hate. My only wish is that one day these boys realize that their father loves them more than anything in this world.

There is always hope.

Happy Birthday America.......

Chris and I would like to wish everyone of you a safe and happy holiday!!!

Happy Birthday America!!!!

Chris and I are heading to the Oklahoma City Zoo today. Hopefully the weather will be mild...but I am not counting on it. My prediction...I will be a sweaty ball of goo withing the first hour! But we get to see Chris' boys! We are both so excited! I will post pictures tomorrow!!!

Not a lot happening today.....

Sorry, not witty banter today...not much going on. I made some cards, took a nap, decided to not go grocery shopping today...it will wait until Sunday! So my day was a productive vacation kind of day!!!

Time to Mulch......

Today was an outside in the flowerbed day...for Chris, not me! As much as I like working in the flowerbeds, I would be suffering for days if I did. Dang allergies!

I am surprised that he only got 1 truck load of mulch, usually it's two truck loads.
Before......kinda boring huh?
(See cute Hoppy...he is the daddy to our three new wild kittens, Huey, Duey and Louey).
.
It's ashame Chris didn't get any pictures before he pruned all of the bushes. Man it was really over grown. Looked like a jungle!
.
Looks like Huey and Louey was interested in what Chris was up to. Duey, is no where to be found. He is the very shy one.
. Huey and Louey.......

Louey...
And after the mulching....I love the contrast of the mulch and all of the green! Very purdy!!!.......
Now tell me something...what do you think about our house color? It's kinda a peachy/pink...I like it. Chris hates it. I think it's fun and festive. However, Chris is thinking very seriously about having the house painted (not any time soon). I just don't want it painted white or some other boring color. I want something fun and festive.

Tomorrow is grocery shopping day. Sounds fun huh? Not so much. And on Saturday, we will be heading to Oklahoma City to go to the Zoo to meet up with Chris' three boys, his parents and two of his brothers and their families. It will be a Sheaffer Family day.

Update on Trevor Don: He and momma are home and doing great! His big sister Mackenzie is not quite sure what to think about her new baby brother.

New Unity Stamps.....

Got me some new Unity Stamps in the mail a couple of days ago. So today, I have been having some stamping fun!

Check out Unity Stamps Garage Sale going on today....There are some great deals on several of their adorable stamps and stamp sets.
.

Today is my first day of vacation and I have already been on the phone with the office. The Flight Department never takes a vacation. LOL. At least I can talk to them on the phone and still be in my pajamas. That is a plus!!!

While on vacation, Chris and I are going to be getting ready for a rummage sale. We are basically going to be having a full fledged "Operation Clean Sweep". Should be fun. I have so much "stuff" around this place it is time to purge! However, Operation Clean Sweep won't start until Sunday, when the temperatures are a little milder for us to start by cleaning out the storage shed.
