Today was not a good day for me. In fact, today was one of those days that I wished that I could have either fast forward to the end of the day or rewind and start the day over again.
My day started out the same as it always does. Alarm clock goes off at 330 am. I crawl out of bed and into the shower. Get ready for work. Head to work. So far so good, just my typical morning....
I get to work, boot up the computer, make a pot of coffee, turn the radio on. I settle in to my morning routine....check work emails, check the bossman's emails, print off his daily schedule, send him his morning "daily agenda" email, answer emails that came in the night before...drink a cup of coffee. Still everything is clicking along as normal.
I hit the internet to check my personal email account. Now this is when things take a turn for the worse. My inbox had 19 emails waiting for my attention. Well, all 19 emails were notifications from paypal. Transactions to be specific. Transactions of money going in and out of my paypal account....as I start looking more closely (I am not on my 2nd cup of coffee), I discover that there are no Etsy sales to go along with the money going into my paypal account. Then I discovered that very large amount of money was going out. I mean...LARGE amounts of money.
Okay, it's panic time. I don't have that kind of money in my paypal account. So it is coming out of my......yes, you guessed it....my bank account! HOLY MONKEY!!!! I don't have that kind of money sitting in my checking account. NOW I am really in a panic....and that bank doesn't open until 9am. HOLY CRAP!!!!
I finally get a hold of PayPal. Their customer service start answering phone calls at 6am CDT.
BAD NEWS, they can't stop the transactions!! Their suggestion......call the bank. Well duh! I knew that, but the bank doesn't open until 9am. So I disputed everything, still won't stop the money from coming out of my account today.....PANIC has now turned into something worse...not sure how to describe it, but it was worse than PANIC.
The mean person that had a wrecked havoc in my PayPal account decided to change my phone numbers in my paypal profile. Now this is where it really got weird. This person, changed my work number to my home number and changed my home number to a friend of mines home phone number who lives in a different state. Talk about Twilight Zone. So I emailed my friend to alert her to check her paypal account, that it could have possibly been compromised. Thank goodness it wasn't.
Fast foward to 830am. I call the bank and talk to someone in bookkeeping. Their advice...close the account and open a new one. Okay, they can close the account, open a new one and I can give them a list of outstanding checks and deposits that will be hitting the account this week. Whew, I am starting to calm down. Finally some good news. The lady at the bank tells me to go to any branch and close the account. So I head to the branch near where I work. I get there at 9am. They don't open until 930 am. So I go get me a large drink from Sonic and wait.
Finally 930am rolls around and I am the first customer in the bank. And let me tell you, the lady that was helping me was NOT happy that I was interrupting her morning coffee. She was a major witch! I won't even go into the things she was lecturing me about. I was not happy. And yes, tomorrow, I will be calling the main branch it voice my complaint about this particular person and branch. So an hour later, I have closed the account, opened a new one and I am feeling a little bit better.
Okay back to work I go. I am about 2 miles from work, when insult is added to injury. I am driving down a two lane road. Ahead of me, I see a black car in the oncoming lane. The car is drifting into my lane. I slow down, thinking that they will realize they have drifted. NOPE, she was too busy talking on her cell phone. She came completely over into my lane. I had to slam on my brakes and head into the ditch. Yep, that stupid woman, ran me completely off the road and into a ditch. She realized that she was COMPLETELY in my lane as she is right next to me (I am in the ditch). To top it off, she kept on driving. She didn't stop! Can you believe that crap! The man behind me stopped to check to see if I was okay. And a road crew a quarter of a mile up the road came running to my aide. However, none of us got her license plate. Dang it!
Fortunately, the ditch was not deep and I was able to drive the truck out and back onto the road. No damage to me or the truck. Thank goodness. I am very surprised I didn't pee my pants after that!
Today was not a good day!

Awww, I agree, Mean people can really ruin your day. So glad you got it all straightened out. I'm glad you're ok, hope your car is as well. I've always told my boys whenever they had to deal with a sourpuss "just be grateful you don't have to live with him/her". They always spent the rest of the day feeling sorry for that person's family instead of themselves :D
Oh man - I'm so sorry to hear about all of this!! Just glad you weren't hurt by that DA talking on her cell phone!! Too darned bad you didn't get her plate number.
I do hope you get this PP mess all straightened out, girl - stuff like this drives you nuts, that's for sure!!
I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a bad day. They always say bad things happen in 3's. So now you should be due for 3 good things.
I really don't like PP at all. I think they have bad customer service & i've gotten more than one notice from a paypal like hackers. & PP never really seems to care.
OMG Tam, I'm so glad you were not hurt. I hope it scared the crap out of that dumb lady.
I'm glad everything worked out alright with you PP. Just reading that gave me palpatations
Big Hugs.
Oh Tam! Sorry to hear you had a bad day! So glad you weren't hurt, we know about being run off the road, just I wasn't as fortunate as you were.
Hoping you have a great weekend to make up for what happened this week.
OH NO!!! What serious crap. I'm sorry for all the trouble, but I'm glad to hear that things are settling back down. (HUGS)
